Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is IPv4.Center?

IPv4.Center is a trusted broker that facilitates the buying and selling of IPv4 address blocks. We connect sellers with buyers and handle the process securely from start to finish, including contracts, escrow, and transfer through regional internet registries like RIPE.

2. How does the IPv4 buying process work?

The buying process is simple and secure. First, you browse our available IPv4 subnets. Once you make an offer, we inform the seller. If they agree, we initiate an escrow transaction and facilitate the Transfer Agreement. The seller then submits a transfer request with the appropriate registry (e.g., RIPE), and after the registry confirms the transfer, escrow.com releases your payment.

3. How does the IPv4 selling process work?

If you're selling IPv4 addresses, we offer your subnet to potential buyers. When a buyer makes an offer, we inform you. If you accept, we create an escrow transaction with the agreed release conditions. After the buyer deposits funds into escrow, the transfer process is initiated with the registry. Once the transfer is complete, you will receive the payment through escrow.com within 48 hours.

4. What are the fees for selling IPv4 addresses?

We charge a commission of 10% on the final sale price of the IPv4 address block. This fee is deducted from the sale price once the transaction is complete. Buyers are responsible for any fees charged by escrow.com or other third-party services.

5. What is escrow.com and how does it work?

Escrow.com is a trusted third-party service that secures funds during the IPv4 transaction process. Buyers send their payment to escrow.com, and the funds are held securely until the IPv4 transfer is complete. Once the transfer is verified, the funds are released to the seller.

6. How long does the IPv4 transfer process take?

The transfer process typically takes between 1 to 3 days once the Transfer Agreement is signed and the transfer request is submitted to the relevant internet registry (such as RIPE). However, the overall transaction timeline may vary depending on the speed of response from the buyer, seller, and registry.

7. Which regions do you support for IPv4 transactions?

We support IPv4 transactions worldwide, including in regions managed by RIPE (Europe, Middle East, and parts of Central Asia), ARIN (North America), APNIC (Asia-Pacific), and other internet registries. Our team has experience with the rules and processes of these registries to ensure a smooth transfer.

8. Are IPv4 address transfers secure?

Yes, we prioritize security in every transaction. We use escrow.com to ensure that payments are handled securely, and the IPv4 transfer process is managed in accordance with the policies of reputable internet registries like RIPE. Both buyers and sellers must sign a Transfer Agreement to ensure transparency and security.

9. What happens if there is a dispute during the transaction?

If a dispute arises during a transaction, we recommend resolving it amicably between the buyer and seller. If the dispute involves escrow funds, escrow.com provides a dispute resolution process to help resolve the issue. IPv4.Center will assist in the resolution process if necessary.

We can offer custom solutions and discounts for bulk purchases of IPv4 addresses. Please contact our support team to discuss your requirements and negotiate bulk pricing options.

12. Can I transfer IPv4 addresses across different registries?

Yes, we can assist in inter-regional transfers between different internet registries (e.g., from RIPE to ARIN). However, the process might take longer and require additional documentation, depending on the policies of the involved registries. Please contact us for specific guidance on inter-regional transfers.
